It’s been a long time and I took a walk. Here’s an Adelaide Stobie Pole. Well known to South Australians (hello Gavin) who best avoid when motoring. Designed by Mr Stobie to replace long straight timber poles, unavailable in near desert South Australia.
These trees stand near the shore. Gradual salting of the lake through run off of irrigated areas, and droughts – to name a few factors – have caused fish die offs and left these remnants. My photo shows a lake with water, check the link to local artist Nici Cumpstons images for a lake in drought.
